Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a doctors referral for an appointment?
No, but if you have copies of any recent reports or scans, please bring them with you to your appointment to help give a clearer picture of your’ condition. With your permission, we may contact your GP, consultant, or other healthcare professional for additional information.
Does my health insurance cover my treatment?
We are NOT registered with any insurance companies. You should check that your particular policy covers Physiotherapy treatment at our clinic and that you can reclaim any fees you have paid our practice independently.
Do you accept payment from third parties (e.g. solicitors, independent hospitals, Bassetlaw CCG (NHS))
Yes, however this must be authorised by the third party and our pricing structure is different from our discounted fees for self-funding clients. You are also responsible for any unpaid fees from the third party. Please contact us at the practice for more details.
How can I pay for my treatment?
We accept debit and credit cards (for 1:1 sessions only), cash or cheque. If you attend classes or regular private sessions then we can issue an invoice for payment by BACS.
Do I have to pay for missed appointments or classes?
Please see our Cancellation and late Payment Policy. In summary we need a minimum of 24 hours notice for cancellation of private appointments or you will be charged. No refund is given for missed classes, but if you provide a minimum of 24 hours notice we will try and arrange an alternative class for you.

What should I wear?
We will need to look at your area of pain and your posture in some detail. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing that doesn’t restrict your movement, and bring a pair of shorts to change into if required. *Please note – your top may need to be removed to analyse your posture and to treat your shoulder or back.
What are your opening hours?

We are normally open:

  • Monday: 9.30am to 8.30pm
  • Tuesday: 9.30am to 8.30pm
  • Wednesday: 10.00am to 9.00pm
  • Thursday: 9.30am to 7.30pm
  • Friday: Closed

*Please note that during these hours the clinic may be closed due to home visits.

Is there parking?

Parking is NOT available in the DN22 car park when the dental practice is open. Their car park is very small and is specifically for their staff and disabled clients. There is plenty of free parking directly outside the building and there are several public pay and display car parks within a few minutes walk of the clinic.

Elderly or Disabled Clients: If you have a blue badge you can park in the dental carpark if space is available. There is also an area allocated as a “drop off zone”. This means that your driver can park for a few minutes and escort you to the waiting room (all wheelchair accessible), before returning to their car to park in one of the above recommended locations.

Can I bring someone with me?

Yes, please feel free to bring someone with you to any 1:1 session. If you are planning to bring a child to your appointment, please discuss the suitability with your Physiotherapist first; we will try and accomodate this whenever possible. Children under the age of 16 are not allowed to be left unacompanied in the building at any time and they are not permitted to observe or join in classes.
